As you will no doubt be aware of by now, this year’s S6 charity is the Ayrshire Hospice. We are kicking off the second half of the Autumn Term by celebrating our new link with a “Welly Goes Purple” Day on Tuesday 30th October.

In exchange for £1 all pupils from Primary 1 to S6 are invited to swap one item of uniform for something purple. Perhaps it would be a great chance for a pupil to wear dad’s favourite purple tie, or those purple shoes that have been lingering at the back of the cupboard? Parents are asked to note that this is not a full “non-uniform” day.

We are also delighted to be welcoming Mr Ron Swanson, Fundraising Representative of the Ayrshire Hospice, to school on this special day. Ron will visit the senior school assembly in the morning before returning to visit the Junior School in the afternoon. Ron promises lots of information about what the Hospice does, and perhaps a surprise visitor, too!

We thank you, once again, for your continued support of our fundraising efforts.

Stephen McLarty, Head Boy and Kirstie Howat, Head Girl
