(over 40 cms!)

Our very own Mrs Docherty, Teacher of Music, is having her hair cut on November 3rd. This may not seem like an announcement-worthy event but Mrs Docherty is having over 40 cms of her luscious locks cut off for the benefit of not one, but TWO charities. Mrs Docherty explains more here:

‘Hi, I’m Susan! It’s a big thing for me to do this, as I’m more afraid of having my hair cut than most people are of the dentist. In fact, the last time I had my hair cut in a salon was about 9 years ago! Also, those who know me will tell you that I’m more of a “behind the scenes” person, so to have my hair cut in public is an equally terrifying prospect!

I would be most grateful of your support and any donation will help our S6 to raise money for this year’s S6 charity, Alzheimer Scotland, the country’s leading dementia organisation. Furthermore, I will be donating the hair I have cut off to the Little Princess Trust, an organisation which makes real-hair wigs, free of charge, for children with cancer.

Thanks again for your support and wish me luck!’

If you wish to pledge a donation, please do so here.
