Summary of Course Content

• Unit 1
  Dissertation which is similar to the Personal Study at Higher.
                  
• Unit 2
  Literature: close study of at least two authors.
  
  
• Unit 3
  Either Textual Analysis or Creative Writing.

Assessment & Examinations

• Textual Analysis and Literature are assessed externally by examination. Dissertation and Creative Working are written in school and assessed externally.
  
  
• All Units are assessed internally also.

Folio/Project work

• The dissertation: 3000 words.
• Creative Writing: Two pieces of writing of two different genres.
