Entry Level:
Usually Higher Art and Design but can be at the discretion of the school.

Summary of Course Content
Course content at AH is determined by the units selected by the pupil. They can choose from the following options:

Expressive Enquiry with Design
Expressive Enquiry with Art & Design Studies: Visual Art
Design Enquiry with Expressive
Design Enquiry with Art & Design Studies: Visual Design
Research and Appreciation

Emphasis is on pupils developing personal ideal and lines of enquiry in visual or other appropriate forms, through confident use of media, techniques and processes.

Pupils should make a sustained exploration of a theme showing inventiveness, flexibility and individuality in their own work and establish clear links with visual Art and Design practice.

Assessment & Examinations
There is no examination in AH Art and Design: Folios account for 90% of the course submission and the Statement of Intent accounts for 10%.

Folio/Project Work
Pupils should produce a coherent body of coursework consisting of a maximum of 24 sheets up to A1 size across both units.
