1ST XV REACH SEMI FINALS OF SCOTTISH PLATE (10/12/2009)
The 1st XV have reached the Semi Finals of the Scottish Plate. One more win will see them at Murrayfield for the finals.

On 5th December, playing against a strong Bearsden/Douglas Academy 1st XV, Wellington had to dig deep to earn a closely contested victory 35-17. In wet and freezing conditions, Wellington were playing catch up throughout the match. In the second half, and with a bit of luck, we managed to overtake Bearsden and push forward to gain momentum and the lead. The forwards rucked well and the backs put pressure on their opposition.

On Wednesday, the 1st XV beat Perth Academy in the next round of the competition with a convincing performance.
