CRAIG STILL MAKING WAVES (10/11/2009)
Craig Corson is still recording very significant times in the pool - and is seen here wearing his Scotland Team kit from the UK School Games.

The Games were held on this occasion in Wales where Craig swam the 200m Individual Medley and came 6th in his event.
The team flew to Cardiff on Thursday 3rd September and returned on Sunday 6th September. His time in Swansea was 2.19 (long course).

The UK School Games take elite athletes from a range of sports and they compete in a \"mini Olympics\" format. The swimming event was held in the Welsh National facility in Swansea.

Craig qualified for the Scotland West & North team with his silver medal performance at the Scottish Schools in January of this year where he represented Wellington.

He swam the 200 IM on Saturday 17th January at the Scottish National Open Short Course Championships making the B Final in a time of 2.14.71. This was followed by the Scottish Schools Championships on 31st January 09 where he was 2nd in the 200 IM in a time of 2.20.92 (long course). These were the two qualifying events for consideration for the Scottish West and North Team for the UK School Games.
