S2 Geography pupils visited The Lead Hills Mining Museum at Wanlockhead as part of their class work on the formation and uses of rocks. The pupils visited the mine and panned for gold. In the museum the formation and uses of rocks were discovered. The Miners Cottage and Library showed what life was like for miners in the 17th and 18th Century. The weather on the day of the excursion was lovely and the pupils discovered a lot of information that will be of use in the class work.
