HAPPY CAMPERS PREPARE FOR HIKE (10/09/2009)
In a week when the Duke of Edinburgh Award got a very positive endorsement from HMIE, Wellington`s Bronze groups prepared for their Practice hikes at Glen Trool.
The uptake for the Duke of Edinburgh Award is still increasing as most pupils understand the benefits of enrolling in the programme.
At Bronze Level, all the pupils embark on expeditions by foot around Ayrshire (including Arran this year). At Silver Level and above, the pupils may be canoeing and may sign up for expeditions in Norway and beyond. Return to News Headlines > |
