GAMES HALL REFURBISHED (09/09/2009)
Extensive work over the summer saw Carleton Turrets Hall ready with new double glazed panels and fire escapes for the start of this session.
Inside, new wooden panels have been fitted and blackout blinds to enhance the use of the hall for shows. The gym floor was treated over the summer, too, to improve the surface.
We are now looking at further upgrades to the lighting and sound facilities to allow us to put on more ambitious plays.
Meanwhile, the new front playground at Craigweil House is proving very popular with a range of sports from hockey and netball to basketball possible come rain (typically) or shine (as in the photo). This augments the extensive playground areas at Drumley and Carleton Turrets.
Our thanks go to the Wellington Association for their donation of recreation facilities in these areas. Return to News Headlines > |
