All members of our staff understand the importance of
fostering good relationships with parents as they are the
primary educators of their children. The school has an
open door policy with parents, who may wish access to
speak with a teacher.
In the Infant Department parents are encouraged to bring
children into the classroom at the start of the day, and
collect them from the classroom at the end of the day, if
they so wish. Teachers are required to be in class by 8.45
am and until this point pupils should be at Early Birds and
not in the classroom. The security system is set to allow
access from 8.15 until 8.50, and the Infant door will be
opened at 3p.m.
Teachers are able to speak to parents informally at the
beginning and end of the day. Where this is not possible, an
appointment will be made by the Assistant Head Teacher,
or a small matter may be discussed on the telephone.
Teachers will always be made available to meet with
parents as class cover can always be arranged.
Reports are issued in November and May followed by
Parents Meetings.
