Weather-permitting, children are outside for play in the
morning and at lunchtime. Quiet pursuits are encouraged
as well as the more energetic games, and a variety of
resources are available to stimulate play.
The playground is supervised by auxiliary and janitorial
staff as directed by the AHT. Any prescribed medication
that may be required by a pupil in the playground is taken
outside and put in a prominent but safe place. A First Aid
kit is also available in each playground for the treatment
of minor injuries. Any more serious injury will be taken to
the staff area where a member of staff will deal with the
situation, allowing the playground supervisor to return to
the playground. In wet weather Primary 1 children will
usually be housed in P1Burns classroom, Primary 2
children in P2 Kennedy classroom, and Primary 3 children
in P3 Seafield classroom. The children will usually be
supervised by playground supervisors and the AHT. |
