Teachers are kept informed of necessary medical information sent in to the School Office. Where pupils
keep medication in school e.g. for asthma or an allergy, this is be stored in a place as accessible as possible, while maintaining a safe environment for all children. If such medication is administered, a note must be sent home with the child, stating the amount given and the time at which it was administered.

Any medication must be accompanied by a completed and signed pro forma from the parent. These are available from any member of staff.

N.B. Staff are not allowed to give the first dose of any medication for fear of an adverse reaction.
