We have a large, thriving Nursery located within the main Primary Department at Drumley House that offers a wide range of educational experience for children from the age of three years upwards. A total of sixty places are available for children in the ante-pre school and pre-school years. The Nursery operates in partnership with South Ayrshire Council.
The Nursery is managed by the Head of Nursery who is assisted by a team of 7 Nursery Nurses all of whom are qualified and experienced in providing pre-school education and care. The Nursery opening hours are from 8.15am until 5.30pm each day during term time. We provide a stimulating educational programme through play each morning with wrap around care available. During the summer term pre-school children are invited to spend two afternoons in school each week in preparation for their transition to Primary 1. Our Nursery forms an integral part of the Infant Department and a firm belief in the value of pre-five education is part of the ethos of the school.
The school follows National Curricular Guidelines for children aged between three and five years, our aim being to help children to develop skills, which will help them, progress in Primary 1 and beyond.
Children may enter the ante-pre school class at any convenient point after their third birthday.
