Nursery Parents Focus Group
The Nursery Parents Focus Group meetings started again this session with a visit from Dianne Gardner to talk about the role of the Governors.
Mrs Gardner, former Head of Wellington School, gave a brief history of the school and explained the role of the governors.
The Focus Group gives parents a chance to meet with Mrs Allan (Head of Nursery) and Mr Parlour (Headmaster) and discuss ways in which we can improve the service. Despite getting top scores in a recent Nursery Inspection, the Nursery is always keen to offer a better service.
An additional benefit of the meeting is that many parents have children in other Year Groups and the school is always willing to take on board advice and suggestions to offer the best service possible.
This session, the Focus Groups will extend up the school with an Infant Focus Group scheduled soon.
Make Someone Smile This Christmas!
Nursery fills shoe boxes for Blythswood Care
The Nursery children have been filling shoeboxes which will be transported around the world to bring a smile to the faces of children much less fortunate than themselves.
Shoeboxes will be sent to Albania, Bulgaria, Hungary, India, Moldova, Pakistan, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine.
‘Some people have so little that little things we take for granted can mean so much as they are luxuries that they can’t afford to buy. To give someone a new hat or scarf when they have never had new clothes brings great joy and laughter.’
