This Saturday the A Team played away against Hutchesons’ Grammar School. The team unfortunately lost by one point with Hutcheson scoring in the last minute to make it 3-2.

In the first half Wellington scored two goals. Both of these were scored by striker Amy Scott. One of the goals was set up by a very skilful pass out wide by Arianna Howard. Goalkeeper, Sarah Mason, also played a fantastic game with a number of spectacular saves throughout the match. Arianna Howard won player of the match with honourable mention going to both Amy Scott and Sarah Mason.

The whole team played very well this weekend!

P6/7A Team Match Report – Amy Scott

This week we had a home match against Kelvinside at Whitletts Activity Centre. It was a tough game and finished 4-0 to them. In addition to that there were two goas that were disallowed! We got the ball up the pitch a few times and were close to scoring a few goals but their goalie was very good.

Our defence played amazing and if we didn’t have them we probably would have lost by a lot more. Sarah, our keeper, had a great match saving a lot of shots and helping to clear the ball out to the side of the pitch.

Player of the match was Savanna Boyd and this week it was decided by the team rather than Miss Duffy. We also gave honourable mention to the rest of the defence as they all had a great game: Katie Cowan, Zoe Thomson, Sarah Mason, and Jessica Haye.

I think that the one thing we really need to work on for next week is spacing and staying in our positions.
